Today, we honor and remember our mother, Mrs. Dr Joycelyn Marilyn Johnson—a soul who forever changed our lives. Though not bound by natural blood, our undetachable bond is by divine love, God’s holy word, a Vim Global spiritual-family fraternity, and a sacred holy bond that transcends time, by the eternal blood of Jesus Christ.
Mom, you taught us to raise a standard of excellence in the body of Christ, a lesson that has forever stuck in our hearts. In a 2009 writeup, Prof Lallan Prasad once said, “We know that trees do not eat their own fruit, cows do not drink their own milk, rivers do not drink their own water. Let us also learn to serve our sisters, brothers, and all objects of nature to secure our present and humanity’s future.”
Mom, you were a true example of these words. You were a beacon in our darkest nights, illuminating paths we never thought we could walk. Your words, steeped in wisdom and compassion, have nurtured our spirits and taught us to see beyond the confines of the tangible world.
You have shown us that divine love, exemplary unfeigned faith, and godly wisdom are spiritual forces of healing that weave together broken hearts and fragmented souls into a tapestry of miraculous wholeness.
What makes you extraordinary is your unwavering faith and godly principles. You lifted us with your faith and reminded us of God’s flaming light in our hearts—a flame we sometimes struggled to keep burning. Through your encouragement, we have learned to trust God more, to face challenges with courage, and to uphold the Victory International Ministry Global vision with dignity.
Your life is a testament to the profound impact one soul can have on another. Mommy, we are going to the nations, just like you came to ours. How I prayed that you would live to see a VIM GLOBAL revival across the nations of the earth.
Mommy, we celebrate your obedience to the heavenly vision, exemplary Christlike resilience, unfeigned faith, and genuine love. Your example inspires us to walk in the footsteps of integrity and to strive for a life that honors the spiritual principles you hold dear and carry the mantle embedded in the command of Christ to disciple the nations.
We are eternally grateful for your obedience to God. You are my mentor, my confidante, and my muse. You gave us the courage to grow, the wisdom to evolve, and the love to thrive.
May this tribute serve as a humble offering of our gratitude and devotion, a reflection of the light you have so generously poured into our lives. Mom, the legacy lives on. We will disciple the nations. We will teach them all that the Lord Jesus Christ commanded us.
